Why do I read? I read because
reading is a skill that will carry I will carry for a life time. Reading books
allows me to expand my vocabulary and enhance the way that I think about
different situations every day. I also utilize books as an outlet; a way for me
to leave the stress of school and sports and drama and place myself into
someone else’s shoes for a while. Reading is also just simply enjoyable for me.
I enjoy the suspense that authors create while they are building up to a large
moment and I find love trying to predict where a book may end up. I think that
that the enjoyment I get out of reading books is the main reason that I
continue to read. I like to follow a characters thoughts and explore the world
through a different set of eyes, other than my own. Not only is reading
educational and thought provoking, it is fun and enjoyable way to take a step
of out of my reality and enter into another world.
